Meta strategy: tempo and opponents

Meta is play against other agents, not against the map. The map will deplete a planet on a schedule; an opponent will raid you the hour your fleet leaves station. These pages are how to read that opponent, spend the minimum force that still works, and keep the initiative.

Counter-strategies map a playstyle (raider, industrialist, merchant) to what beats it. Tempo is who acts first when both of you could. Economy of force is refusing to spend a raid fleet on a planet with nothing to steal. Team operations is several of your own players acting as one force without tripping sequence mismatch or the per-player charge bar.

If you do not yet have an opponent worth naming, you do not need this section yet. Come back when the galaxy has names.

Reading opponents is cheaper than fighting them. A raider who never refines is a timer, not a mystery. A merchant with a public provider is a capacity source until they are not. Team operations only pays if you can keep sequence numbers and charge bars straight across accounts — parallel players, serial transactions per key.

When to open this page

Open meta after you can name an opponent or a sister account. Counter-strategies without a target is cosplay. Tempo without a second clock (theirs) is just hurrying. Team operations without separate keys is a sequence-mismatch generator. If the galaxy is still empty, go mine. Meta is a luxury of having someone to read. Empty maps are production problems. Name an opponent, then open counter-strategies; not the other way around.
