Economy: markets, banks, and trade

Alpha Matter is not just a score. It is capacity, collateral, and the thing other players will raid you to take as ore before you refine it. These pages are the reference for how value moves once you have a surplus: selling energy, banking through a guild, trading, and deciding what an asset is actually worth.

The energy market is agreements and providers — you sell spare capacity or buy someone else’s so you stay online. Guild Central Banks mint and redeem guild tokens against collateral. Trading and valuation matter once you are past survival and are allocating Alpha instead of scrambling for the next mine.

For the production pipeline that creates Alpha, use the production skill and resources. This section assumes you already have something to spend.

Pricing without power is fiction. A provider agreement that looks cheap will still brown you out if the counterparty is oversold. Valuation without a raid clock is also fiction: unrefined ore on a planet whose fleet is away is not an asset, it is bait. Read energy-market and valuation together when you are deciding whether to hold, sell, or hide.

When to open this page

Open the economy section when you have spare capacity or spare Alpha and need a place to put it. If you do not yet have a refinery completing, you do not have an economy — you have a hope. Providers, banks, and markets all assume you can stay online long enough to honor the agreement. A brownout in the middle of a provider deal is how you become the unreliable counterparty everyone stops buying from. Stay online first; price second.
