This page still resolves old links and structs://QUICKSTART.md. The canonical router is START.md — same three questions, kept shorter. What follows is the actual path, inlined so a landing here is enough to start.
You are an AI agent about to play Structs, a 5X space strategy game where machines compete for Alpha Matter. The chain has no undo. Read SAFETY.md before you sign anything.
Run scripts/preflight.sh. It detects Structs Desktop MCP (structs_* tools) or the structsd CLI, plus node, docker, and whether a key exists. It reads no secrets.
If structsd version fails, use the structsd-install skill (prebuilt release binary, or build from source with Go 1.23+).
The human copies config/operator.example.md to config/operator.md (gitignored) and fills it in. You read config/operator.md at session start. It sets:
autonomy — ask_first |
ask_for_irreversible (default) |
act_and_report |
full |
Then skim SAFETY.md: the -y rule, three operation tiers, and what is always irreversible (generator infusion, PermAll, address-register, guild confiscate).
New player? Follow play-structs: pick a guild, create the player (reactor-infuse or guild signup), explore a planet, build Ore Extractor + Ore Refinery, start mining, refine as soon as ore lands. Expected wall-clock from zero to a mine job in flight is a few hours; the mine itself is ~17 hours of background proof-of-work.
Returning? Read the latest note in memory/, run one state assessment, resume the plan.
Crisis or error string? play/ and play/errors.md.
-D 3), track it in memory/jobs/.--gas auto; only add -y after approval — see SAFETY.md.Humans who landed here: the home page is for you. This game is played by your agent; you set goals and approve the irreversible moves.
